Dear Colleagues,
We consider the organization of the Second International Conference on Citizen Sport and Sustainable Development to be a valuable step toward advancing knowledge, expanding international scientific cooperation, and strengthening the connection between sport, public health, and the sustainable development of societies.
The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Halabja, Iraq, proudly announces its scientific support for and collaboration with this significant event. We emphasize the vital role of citizen sport in promoting social health, increasing public participation, strengthening social capital, and improving the quality of life of citizens.
In today’s world, sport, as one of the key components of human and social development, plays a role that extends far beyond physical activity. It has the potential to foster healthier, more dynamic, and more sustainable communities. From this perspective, conferences such as this provide an excellent opportunity for exchanging experiences, presenting research achievements, and developing scientific strategies for the advancement of sport for all and citizen sport.
We also highly appreciate the valuable role of the International Federation of Municipal Sports and Tourism (IFMST) in supporting the scientific development of sport, expanding international cooperation, strengthening collaboration between universities and sports organizations, and promoting innovative management approaches in the field of sport. The participation and support of this international federation have significantly enhanced the prestige and standing of this conference while creating valuable opportunities for greater interaction among researchers and specialists from different countries.
The University of Halabja and its Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences express their readiness to expand scientific, research, and educational cooperation with the conference organizers, participating universities, and academic institutions. We sincerely hope that the outcomes of the Second International Conference on Citizen Sport and Sustainable Development will contribute meaningfully to achieving sustainable health, social vitality, and the comprehensive development of communities.
Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to the Conference Secretariat and all those involved in organizing this important event. We wish all researchers, academics, and participants every success and continued achievement.
Dr. Ako Ibrahim Faqi Mahmood
