Citizen sports have become one of the most effective instruments for promoting public health, enhancing social vitality, strengthening social capital, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They play a pivotal role in shaping the future of smart, healthy, and resilient cities. Today, more than ever, fostering a culture of physical activity and ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens to participate in sports are indispensable prerequisites for sustainable urban development.
The Second International Conference on Citizen Sports and Sustainable Development provides an outstanding platform for academics, researchers, policymakers, urban managers, and professionals in the fields of sport and urban governance to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and present innovative scientific solutions that will contribute to the advancement of community sports and the realization of sustainable development.
The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Guilan, in fulfillment of its academic and social mission, is proud to support this distinguished international event. The Faculty regards its participation as a meaningful contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge, the strengthening of national and international collaboration, the improvement of citizens’ quality of life, and the promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle.
I warmly invite faculty members, researchers, students, urban administrators, public officials, and professionals from across the world to actively participate in this conference by sharing their research findings, innovative ideas, and valuable experiences. Their contributions will enrich the scientific quality of the conference and foster meaningful collaboration and innovation in the fields of citizen sports and sustainable development.
It is my sincere hope that, through the collective efforts of universities, research institutions, governmental organizations, and international partners, we will take significant strides toward building healthier, more vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable cities for future generations.
